Boarding Checklist
Food
- For your convenience we can order in many pet types of pet food. (please pre-order any pet food a minimum of 2 days before your arrival date to help ensure availability).
- If your pet's food is not available though us or you wish to bring your pets food, we ask that you please pre-portion each meal (dry food only) in individual sandwich baggies. This way you can be assured your pet is getting the same amount as he/she would at home and to ensure enough is brought for the stay. * Please bring a day or two extra baggies of food just in case! Please no Tupperware or large food bins as we fit the food into small cubbies designated for each pet suite to help ensure proper feeding.
- Canned/Wet food, please bring the unopened cans.
- We don't accept Tupperware containers, Pet food Bins, or Large bulky Tins and Boxes. Simply bring your pets food in its original packaging if you are not pre-bagging. We do not have storage space for containers of any kind.
- Edible Treats: such as doggy or cat biscuits, cookies, milk-bones, dentastix, or greenies are welcome!
- For your pets safety, please DO NOT bring: raw bones, raw hides, pig ears, bully sticks etc as they are considered a choking hazard and some can be hard on the digestive system.
- Enticements: Bring along enticements such as tuna, salmon, pumpkin, cheese, yogurt, or anything your pet enjoys, as pets tend to eat differently or are more picky in a strange environment.
- RAW or SPECIAL DIETS: SPR is equipped and experienced to feed your pet the way you do at home. This includes Raw, Dehydrated and Homemade pet food. We have prep rooms, refrigerators, freezers, and microwaves throughout the facility in each overnight boarding section.
Arrival & Check-In
- Please leave your DOG(s) in the vehicle, and proceed to the reception desk
- Please bring your cats or critters into the resort and proceed to the reception desk at our original Resort building (signage reads Springbank Pet Resort)
- Please do NOT bring, beds, blankets, stuffed animals, toys, dishes, collar/leash or crates (we supply all of this good stuff for cleanliness as well to prevent; parasites, loss or damage to the item(s) and to prevent any animal possession issues!)
Medications, Supplements, Vitamins, or Additives
- It is important to keep ALL prescribed medications in their original bottles and/or packaging & bring them to reception at check-in.
- Do not place ANY medications or supplements into daily food bags. (We dispense supplements for free!)
- VERY IMPORTANT - Do not put medications into alternate containers such as dated pill organizers or baggies.
- We will carefully go through all medications with you at check in and organize distribution according to Dr. Dand's protocols.

Send your up-to-date vaccination or health certificate records a minimum of 48 hours prior to your pets stay so that we may ensure accuracy. Records can be submitted via fax or email.

Please note the following busy periods for Springbank Pet Resort. To ensure your spot please book well in advance!
- New Years Day - Reception Closed
- Family Day Long Weekend
- Easter Long Weekend
- Spring Break (March 22 to April 1 approximate dates) - Please book 2 months in advance.
- May Long Weekend (Victoria Day) - Please book 1 month in advance.
- Summer Months (June - August) - Please book 1-2 months in advance.
- Canada Day Long Weekend
- Calgary Stampede
- August Long Weekend
- September Long Weekend
- October Long Weekend
- December & January Holiday Season (Dec. 15 to Jan. 4) - Please book 6 months or more in advance
- Christmas Day - Reception Closed.
- Boxing Day - Reception open from 8am to 12pm.
- New Years Eve - Reception open from 8am to 12pm.
We do not book reservations over the phone.
Your Boarding Reservation is not confirmed until you receive an email from us.
A confirmation call will be placed within 24 hours after receiving your request. Please contact us if you have not received this confirmation or require same day booking.
Please note, that due to high volumes during peak seasons the confirmation time may take up to 48 hours.
